    I think it's actually a dish-washing sink in a restaurant kitchen.

It was the opening to the season premiere when they drowned a rogue cop in a restaurant sink.

    OK. Toilet. Sink. Whatever.

Why the hell does AMC keep showing it?

I know! Todd looked like he wasn't even TRYING to kill anybody, for chrissakes! Just pretend he's a fifth-grader, Todd!

It kind of got lost, but right before the final sequence Skyler was teaching Walter Jr. the ropes of the carwash business and talking about keeping track of inventory. Was she subtly introducing him to the ways they cook the books?

    I don't think so.

But I did think that was the best episode of Season 5. There was a lot of good stuff leading to that shootout that assuredly will get overlooked. I thought Todd's attempt at intimacy with Lydia was pretty fucking perfect acting from Jesse Plemons. She still kind of sucks, though. And Walt's plan to draw out Jesse was pretty damn smart. It might seem obvious to us that Jesse and Hank were working together, but it would be almost completely implausible for Walt. That scene where he sees who's in the car was perfect.

They used it to stage a photo to show to Huell, where it looked like Jesse had his brains blown out on the floor.

The tease for Low Winter Sun starts with a line about "Cops don't kill cops" or something like that, and then they show Frank and Geddes pushing their fellow cop to the sink as he screams "No! No!"

I can't believe Hank or his partner didn't get shot multiple times, much less at least once or twice, before taking cover behind the Suburban. Walt should be dead in the floorboard, too. Todd and Uncle Killer's goons are lousy shots.

I thought it might have been a better move to end the episode right as Jack fired the first shots.

  11. Um, I think that was the whole point of the phone call, not just to have Walt lead them to the money. They arrested him based on that phone call.

That would have been an awesome ending if some guys had been hit. All I kept thinking was how lousy a shot everybody was. Maybe it was done on purpose to show that this isn't an action movie where everyone's a crack shot.

Sets up the rest of the season well, though.
