Yeah, I was referencing the numbers for the bank account that SixToe mentioned. That must be where Gus has his money stashed. I'm wondering if he's got something else stashed there. Like info that could be damaging to Walt.

Yeah, the opening sequence with Walt sitting in Denny's and buying the machine gun was clearly something that will play out at season's end, like the teddy bear's eye eyeless teddy bear floating in the pool from Season 2. Glad to see "Deadwood" veteran Jim Beaver again as the gun salesman.

The timeline of this show, which has all taken place in less than a year, is something I always have to remind myself of. Walt's daughter was born during Season 2, and it's now Season 5 and she's still an infant. This season literally began in the moments after last season ended (with coverage of the nursing home explosion still all over the news). Unlike shows like Mad Men and The Sopranos that take several months between seasons, this is a continuous storyline.

Great scene from Skylar in the hospital room with Ted Beneke. In a snap, she went from tearful regret at his condition to cold satisfaction that he wasn't going to talk.

  3. Enjoyed the episode but that's two in a row with somewhat ridiculous set pieces. The bomb in the nursing home and then last night with the magnets. I'm OK with suspending disbelief but would prefer if they didn't have to go so over the top with some of this stuff.

Insane Clown Posse was confused by this episode.

Mike asking Walt for the car keys was my favorite moment of the show.

As much as I love the show, if the words "I won." were the last words Walter White uttered on TV, it would have gone out on a better note than any show in history.

That said, I am more than happy to watch the next 15 episodes.

    That and "Yeah Bitches! Magnets!"

Plot is secondary to me now.

This is Vince Gilligan experimenting with how far he can keep us invested in a monster.

It's a stress test of his viewers. How far can he pull back that resistance band of rootability before it snaps? I think he's hoping it happens in the 16th episode.

I'm finally starting to hate Walt.

Not possible for me. One of the most intriguing TV characters of my lifetime.

  10. That's part of the reason I thought the last scene was so powerful. At that point, the way he said "I forgive you," you could tell the transformation to evil was complete. The fact that people still like him illustrates how well that part was written and acted. I found myself feeling for Skyler but also thinking this is one badass dude.

I find him intriguing but that last scene with Schuyler was chilling.

"I forgive you," was pretty damn haunting though.
