That would be a pretty major contrivance. Breaking Bad has used them before, but I hope they avoid it in the series finale. There are so many uncontrived ways to go.

I really liked that this episode dialed things back, found a home for one key remaining character and left plenty of outs for the other four elements (Walt, Jesse, Skyler/Holly/Walt Jr./Marie, Todd/Nazis, Lydia/Madrigal) while also reopening a book we assumed closed (Gray Matter).

The gun is for Ted Beneke. The ricin is for Mike's granddaughter. (#wildlyinaccuratepredictions)

How in the hell does Jesse not have a complete mental breakdown after that? Him challenging Walt or Todd? No way. He couldn't even get the escape right.

You don't need to get much right when all you need to do is pull a trigger. Killed Gale.

    Genius casting of Robert Forster.

It really was. That was my favorite part of the episode, I think.

Todd is very eager to please those he loves and/or looks up to. He killed the kid with the spider because he thought Mike and Walt would want him to. He's obviously got a thing for Lydia, which is why he wants to get the meth "right" rather than take his cut of the $70 million and walk away. And he does all those other terrible things to be "one of the guys" in his uncle's twisted crew.

When the Nazis were watching Jesse's confession and he talked about Todd killing the kid. I though Todd was going to freak out because he left out that part of the story earlier when he told the Nazis about the train robbery. Instead, he had this little smirk on his face. Creepy.

It's at the point where I won't ever be able to watch Friday Night Lights again.

I must reiterate that this show is closing damn strong. Even if the finale doesn't live up to billing, the past few weeks have been as good a run as the show has put together.

Yeah, a cold-blooded killer who looks and acts like Opie Taylor.

I actually said, "Oh my God!" when Todd shot her.
