    You're confusing rights with privileges.

SIAP, but when asked if he supported gay marriage, Mitt, of course, said that he did not...and he finished by saying, "it's the same position I've had, (pause while the thought what to say next) since I've been running for office."

I dunno, maybe you had to hear it, but it just sounded like his position was completely politically rooted.

The righties' next meme: Now that Obama is in favor of same-sex marriage, HE'S NOT IN FAVOR OF IT ENOUGH!!

HE NEEDS TO PUSH FOR A FEDERAL LAW TO OVERRIDE STATE STATUTES!!

Or else, they'll be Very Very Concerned.

I myself prefer an executive order, him being king and all.

Perhaps. So where does one draw that line? And how does it fall with same-sex unions? Why does one consider it a "right" and not a "privilege"?

As for Obama, I got the impression he was stating his personal belief. I never heard him say he would make it a campaign issue or push for legislation of that sort. He knows he has other more significant issues.

I feel you may be leaving out some information about prior life events that would allow a greater understanding of your particular situation.

I hope the President has the courage to speak out against the Mutant Registation Act, which clearly prevents people like Mark from owning property, because we will need the mutants to defend the country, especially when some of them go rouge.

    Is this a religious conviction?

Is going rouge what John Boehner did?

For sure. I'm basically considered an outlaw by certain people and there ain't much I can do to change that.

Look, I wouldn't expect a gay person or a black person or whomever to change who they are simply because they get discriminated against. I didn't change who I was because I got bullied on the playground at age 6. I'm just saying discrimination in one form or another is a part of life. Always has been, always will be.

If people weren't against this, then why are so many states passing these "defense of marriage" laws? Why are people voting for that?

Are you considered an outlaw because you are an actual outlaw?
