I agree people have always (and always will be) evil. Does that mean I should condone it anymore than I would condone, say, murder or theft or whatever?

Your argument seems to be "well, people do it anyway, so we might as well embrace it". Where does that lead us?

Murder and theft hurt other people.

    Who does homosexuality hurt?

    Dick,

The evolution of society has not, IMO, always been such a good thing. Yes, there are some scientific and technological advances that have been beneficial. But the changes in attitudes, for the most part, have not been.

I really have little use for much of the modern technology that so many people seem addicted to. Heck, I have friends that freak out if they forget their cell phones or can't get online for a day to check email or post on Twitter (stupidest invention ever, IMO).

I have even less use for the so-called "enlightenment" that many seem to revel in. Like everything is OK? Everything, of course, except for whatever the PC police don't happen to like at the moment...LOL.

Fifty years ago, people of Japanese decent were put in internment camps during WWII because they were considered to be "dangerous". Not long from now, anyone who espouses a view that contradicts the established will be put in camps because we, too, are "dangerous" to progress. *SIGH*

If I could, I would go back to the 1970s and 80s in a heartbeat. All our innovation has profited us little.

The crux of the matter is that you believe homosexuality to be 'evil'. This used to be a commonly held belief but so were many others that have been refuted by science over the years. You may be uncomfortable with homosexuals but this does not make them less human or less deserving of love and family than any other human beings.

    This is wildly speculative.

Homosexuals are being discriminated against, tangibly, RIGHT NOW.

And you still haven't stated a reason why that should be the case in a way that's not circular/conclusory.

    Where to begin?

You really are a sad person Mark.

I have spent some time reading pre-Civil War and Reconstruction court cases about the intermingling of races, culminating with Brown v. Board of Education, and it is eerie to see the same kind of rhetoric showing up again in this battle.

If you could, you'd go back to the 1950s, or alternately the 1850s, in a heartbeat. And everyone here knows why.
