The two I can't figure out are owning property and having a bank account. Unless it's just because he's broke, I have no idea how the U.S. government is preventing this.

It's not a crime to keep quiet, but everyone pretty much thinks he's full of it if there isn't an explanation behind it.

I had a roommate who didn't have a social security number and had to work "under the table" jobs. He was part of the soverignty movement along with his parents. Maybe that's the explanation.

Using the Bible to say, "See? Even God refuses homosexuality." is weak.

    Here's why:

    Lev 19:27
“Do not trim off the hair on your temples or trim your beards."

If that's the case, we're all screwed.

    Lev 20:18

“If a man has sexual relations with a woman during her menstrual period, both of them must be cut off from the community, for together they have exposed the source of her blood flow."

Betcha a lotta people need to be cut off from their communities.

    Lev 18:19, 24-26
“Do not have sexual relations with a woman during her period of menstrual impurity. ... 24 “Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, for the people I am driving out before you have defiled themselves in all these ways. 25 Because the entire land has become defiled, I am punishing the people who live there. I will cause the land to vomit them out. 26 You must obey all my decrees and regulations. You must not commit any of these detestable sins. This applies both to native-born Israelites and to the foreigners living among you."

I wonder what Jesus would think of those ripping apart gay people? Well, let's see what the Book of John says:

    John 15:18

“If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first."

OK, again, can't speak for Jesus, but if you read the Bible, it is clear that most of it is directed specifically at the Jews. A small fraction of it is directed at all of humanity. Their are "7 Noachide laws" that are universal, the rest are targeted.

I think Barry Bonds had that on the back of his helmet.

Not MY particular case, but perhaps you know there are millions of people in the US who don't meet various legal requirements for getting a job, or a driver's license or whatever. Some don't have any sort of papers at all. Just a reality of life.

Should these people be discriminated against? Yet, they are.

So it's a lack of papers preventing you from doing all these things?

I have two people working on a house remodeling job today who do not possess certain papers. I don't care. They do a good job at a fair price and have been honest. Do the work I need done. I could care less whether or not they have papers.

That's why it's weak to use the Bible in this case. You're against gay marriage? Fine. Keep the Bible out of it.
