It is not his method of speaking - it his utter cluelessness about certain subjects when he doesn't have note cards in front of him that is alarming.

    Alarming, and concerning.

Why do they have alternate covers? SI I know does regional ones, but here why don't they just make a call? What determines which one you get?

Also, isn't the picture of him weird looking? His head looks disproportionately big and photoshopped onto the body.

I have a feeling this is pretty important as well.

That "commentary" was pathetic, cheerleading drivel, not fit for the Washington Post, or it's website.

And, did CNN press Jay-Z on his own homophobic lyrics, or did they choose to ignore that?

Not to steal Boom's thunder, but I would post some of them, if there weren't so many to choose from.

    Here's a sample: http://dailycaller.com/2012/05/15/g-to-the-ay-marriage-is-ok-with-jay-z-but-dont-read-his-lyrics/

Jay-Z is a smart guy, has a good mind for business, and makes catchy tunes, but God damn if he doesn't get the most fawning press coverage of anyone I've ever seen.

Can you imagine how much people are going to want to kill Biden if Obama's stance on this costs him re-election?

Obviously it's too early to say if it will, but everything I read indicates that it's not helping him.

At some point, Obama was going to have to take some sort of stand. Good on Biden for making him take it (assuming this wasn't orchestrated).

"I'd rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president."

I wouldn't argue Obama's been a really good president so far, but he's closer with his improved stance on gay marriage.

If it costs him the election (I don't think this alone would be what costs him the election — gas prices and Europe would be the reasons), I hope he was being sincere when he said the statement above.

What's Phil Collins' stance on gay marriage?

    A Groovy Kind of Love.

Clarification: I fully understand that Phil Collins did not write "A Groovy Kind of Love" and I fully understand that he covered the song. I hope my unsophisticated lack of appreciation of late-1980s Phil Collins songs will not re-ignite the Great Phil Collins Schism of 2012.

FWIW, Silver wrote this morning that none of the news stories have affected the polls to any measurable degree. Not yet anyway.
