    I'm downright ecstatic that news like this was beaten by a good guy and a hard-working beat writer rather than Werder or Mort or PK or any of the guys who are so far up Favre or Bus Cooke's ass it's not even funny.

    As a Packer fan, I finally had enough of Brett several years before he finally left for the Jets. Felt he thought he was bigger than the team, throwing receivers under the bus, not talking to reporters after the game. He did a lot of good for the franchise and made it respectable again, but I think in the long term there are just as many bad memories as good ones.
