Eastern scored 20? Is that the head start the MAC feels the E-Moose need to be competitive; so they can draw fans and not lose 1-A affiliation?

South Florida is in a BCS conference.

Of course, the Steers will get their horns handed to them Sept. 16 by Central Florida (the C-USA champs), but they are in a BCS conference.

True fact: USF's coach claims Miami is his team's true rival. Now, if only only USF were actually in South Florida ...

 

The anticipation is killing me.

 

They may have scored 20, but it really wasn't that close.

Ball State ran a bunch of gimmick plays (couple reverses, a double pass, a halfback pass) and Eastern's secondary couldn't cover anyone.

Once again, Eastern has no RB to speak of. I don't have the stats or anything, but Eastern's QB was their leading rusher and had the most rushing attempts.

Drew Stanton is going to have a field day next week against this Eastern secondary. The spread will be about 45 and MSU will cover.
