Neither bacon or jalapenos will ever grace any burger served to me.

Getting back to, you know, the subject of the title of the thread.

Cops got a license plate today of the SUV that might have been involved in the shooting, with a license plate number. It's linked to a gang member.

Not at all shocked by that, but it's good to know they have a lead that should prove fruitful.

Indeed. Hope they catch the bastard.

Well, I didn't expect the plate to be linked to a nun, but I appreciate the update.

A gun control debate, however, seems quite appropriate for a thread about someone who was killed by gun violence. I don't think it's out of line at all, just controversial enough to be its own thread.

I just hope they catch this guy and do something terrible to him, because he didn't just kill an average Joe. This guy killed a professional athlete, and their lives are so much more valuable.

Much more valuable to who outside of his own family. Seriously.

  7. Obviously Heine's last two posts are satiristic.
Also, the gang member whose plate it was is in jail, so he wasn't involved, though probably his banger buddies were.

Man, this is sounding worse by the minute. Thank goodness the police have a trail, though.

Anyone know how prevalent gangs are in Denver? I think I heard they're on the rise, or have been, etc.

Gangs are prevalent everywhere. I remember an Outside the Lines special several years ago about gangs, and one segment was about their effect on a high school team in Utah (and this wasn't downtown Salt Lake, either). I guess the greasy tentacles of Willard M. Romney and Roman Grant extend pretty far...

Because certainly if guns were illegal, then bad people would never, ever possess them. Right? Of course, then they'd use knives. Then we'd have to outlaw them. Then baseball bats. You ready to outlaw them, too? That would cost a lot of baseball writers their jobs.

It ain't the guns, it's the people using them. But I've seen enough of your posts, Columbo, to know that not only are you not smart enough to see that, you'll come back with an insult.

When it comes to someone not being smart enough, you show us all the way.

A half-twitch of an index finger can't kill someone with a knife or a bat.

    Say something smart, just once.
