    Yes, I wasn't trying to say that was the only reason for the downgrade. But it certainly played a role.

    Let's eliminate all food regulation then, because if you do it for hipster organic ice cream sellers, you have to do it for everyone.

    The owner should have realized going into business is a little more complicated than operating a typical children's lemonade stand.

    Whatever happened to the phrase: That's the cost of doing business? I guess it disappeared when the patriotic "job creators" started sending their jobs and businesses to other countries.

    Oh, Lord. We should just ban strawberries.

    Or better yet, we should just outlaw bacteria.

    Az, you can't possibly be on the side of the State in this one.

    Not true.

    I have an idea YF: Buy an ice cream maker at Williams-Sonoma, thus boosting the economy. Buy some cream, sugar, vanilla and strawberries at the grocery, further boosting the economy. Make your own unregulated ice cream at home. Win and win!

    Death spiral has begun:

    @nicecreamco -- Nice Cream

    Because of the State of Ill., Whole Foods has placed their last orders of Nice Cream. Get it from our independent grocers instead.

    Three things:
    Dude, YF, just buy an ice cream maker and do it yourself.
    That plus 30 minutes, a can of Eagle Brand, Orange Crush and pineapple. You'll never want to eat $8.99 a pint ice cream again.
    Extreme examples can always be found but it is generally in the common good to make sure companies aren't making food with spoiled whatever.
    Sorry if that offends.
    If anyone's got the HBOs, I'd encourage ya'll to check out a documentary called Hot Coffee. Surprisingly, it has nothing to do with Hot Coffee, Miss. It instead deals with tort reform.

    Wouldn't that bill be against free market principles?
