I would say about 10% of all TEA baggers fall into exactly what Starman posted. I have seen them in action, but what you also see are their minions that they have riled up to do their bidding.

Drill for oil? sure F Obama
Screw with Healthcare? sure F Obama
Screw up the debt limit? Sure F Obama
No global warming? Sure F Obama
    Anti-green living? Sure F Obama

TEA baggers are puppets in a much bigger game.

I have had TEA baggers scream at me because propane buses were used instead of fuel oil buses. They screamed and yelled about oil and liberal agendas against oil.

Then I showed them a receipt for what we pay per gallon of propane and what we pay per gallon of fuel oil. Then they could not believe the email they read was bullshit.

My point had nothing to do with the environment. It was straight taxpayer dollars and sense.

And, yes, propane burns much cleaner and causes far fewer breakdowns. But TEA baggers will just jump to the next agenda someone sends them in an email.

Fed told everyone that the economy is at a standstill. Said things are so bad it is going to keep short-term rates at zero into 2013. This is yet another case of them making it up as they go along. When the economy is a standstill equities don't do well. The reaction was just an overreaction. People were trying to scoop up bargains earlier in the day, then the Fed reminds everyone that we are heading into another recession, if we are not already there, and stock selling overreacts. It made some of it back later in the day.

And the Fed didn't say it won't do a QE3. They said not now. If they had done it now, it would have sent the markets into a tailspin. If we see a very slow economy, I wouldn't bet against them going in and buying back their own debt to try to inflate us into prosperity. It's all they know how to do.

And by then, gold will be trading at $10,000 an ounce, as we head toward an underground economy that refuses to accept actual dollar bills for transactions. Bunch of foofs.

What would be a better Tea Party world to live in: Somalia, Thunderdome, "I Am Legend" or "The Road"?

Well, when I am facing a problem I don't haul out my bible and beseech sweet baby Jeesus to come to my rescue. I prefer real-world tactics.

Oil prices are at the lowest levels since September of 2010.

During that time, prices up a buck a gallon at the pump.

My, speculators, those ass pockets are putting on some weight.

Somebody had a good quote yesterday, something on the order of "It's a panic, you don't need a reason."

600-point turnaround in less than two hours. Smells like a heaping pile of shit.
