Not really. This was the first time I can remember the idea was looked at and reported on as anything but a whacko idea. People were actually talking about this like it was a good idea.

Whoa, look at those goalposts move!

Then you're going to need to go ahead and attribute that, please. That article you posted didn't do that.

ETA: Something not from WorldNetDaily would help, as well.

I posted the WND link because it had the politician and the bill number. Not because of the actual story.
I can see the point you are making, but I don't think you understand what I am trying to say. Everyone was all swept up in Obamamania...people were talking about him as this game-changer who would lift this country out of the doldrums. And what they got, instead, was just another politician...and not a very good one at that. We can argue the specifics and go back and forth on who did what and if he had done it before, but the fact is that Obama swept into office with a ton of good will and a ton of political capital. And he has squandered most of it. He has proven, through things like his Obamacare waivers and by passing off the writing of the stimulus bill to Reid and Pelosi, that he chooses winners and losers, and that he is just another run-of-the-mill, divisive politician...the exact opposite of what he campaigned on. And if you actually think the Republicans do not care about the poor and middle class while Obama does you are not being truthful with yourself.

Those goalposts aren't even on the same field any more!

    Nicely done.

Are you being intentionally obstinate? I am not arguing what you seem to be arguing, or moving any "goalposts." You aren't making any sense. But, forget it. Hope and Change!

You argued that people were so in love with Obama, in 2009, that they wanted to keep him president forever. I asked you to prove that. You utterly, hilariously failed to do so, then you changed the subject.

Call Obama names all you want. But don't make things up. One would think you wouldn't need the extra ammunition, given how terrible you think he is.

Those lyrics made sense in Ancient Rome and they make sense this morning.

How so? No one is being forced to join the military or getting out of service because they are well connected.

    The cliff notes version:

The rich should pay more taxes to save the middle class.

I'm missing the songs current relevance.

Is their someone like David Eisenhower or Al Gore on the scene that I'm forgetting?

No doubt that John McCain relates to that song.
