Without watching the link, I am guessing it was not heartfelt, nor truly emotional, and it was not the Howard Beale moment but one of the facsimiles that the network made Howard Beale repeat for comedic effect once they saw how well the first one went over. (God, was that movie prescient.)

Nothing on cable news, on either side, can be considered genuine in the least.

Not only unconstitutional, at odds with the ideals our country was founded on. You need to move somewhere else and fuck that place up.

I don't think your plan's particularly ethical, and it's certainly not workable. But I'm not going to pile on you if you've been unemployed. I'll requote Jeff Bridges -- "it's a bitch" -- and hope for better things for you.

Oh, of course I don't expect anyone to actually pass a law like that. Too many pols beholden to too many wealthy special interests.

But I don't see how it's a cap. A CEO can make as much money as they want. They would just have to pay their workers more. The CEO and his board can negotiate a fair amount.

Also note, I put it for publically-traded companies. I'm not referring to a guy who starts his own factory and runs it himself. I'm referring to companies where the top guy/gal didn't take the risk that others took, rather, they're just latching on.

And do y'all realize we're only three pages away from a 100-page thread? I've never been part of one ... to think we might work our way to 100 pages without getting locked!

And within those pages are solutions to every problem that ails us.

It's gotten better for me now. But for a long time, it wasn't. And I have a long memory.

Vince McMahon does not agree with your plan. He does not want to have to pay Michael Cole anymore than he is paying him now.

I don't know how you can prohibit greed through a law. The invisible hand isn't working right now, either, though.

Baron, do you aspire to monetary success? I only ask because I get the sense that you actually reject the idea -- like you would be selling out your principles to go for it.
