What do you mean they aren't alive? They aren't dead.

Something that's truly alive is capable of surviving without feeding off another organism's body. An embryo is simply not truly alive yet, not until it becomes a viable fetus.

Oh, so now it's not "truly" alive. I see you're moving the bar already.

    Dude:

The people at that school would have more skills than you from day one. Your only ability seems to be tracking down useless details and using them to form some sort of "argument" that you never grow tired of throwing out.

Just curious: Do you have any useful skills? Not asking you to out yourself. I'm just trying to figure out where you are coming from. You can even PM me, as long as you can control your urge to throw out some sort of tired "You must not be getting any" joke. Most people leave that behind when they are 15, you know.

  6. OK, the people with MS, juvenile diabetes, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and spinal cord injuries are all alive and they're suffering, and if it bunches the shorts of people who anthropomorphize blastocysts to give these people a chance at a cure, then they can all go back to burning incense and chanting, as far as I'm concerned. Screw you goalposts. Most of these things are medical waste. They get tossed and burned, every day, in in vitro clinics. Period.

  8. The judge is a moron and, except for a possible destruction-of-property claim, this case is dead on appeal. You will also note that nobody's arresting the clinic operators for negligent homicide or involuntary manslaughter.

Uh, the bar was already there. It only moved when your failure to comprehend required some additional explanation.

The scary thing is I agree with you on this one.

Except, once again, you fail to get your facts. They already explained why they can't treat Alzheimer's this way.

Have you ever, in your entire life, researched a fact? A single one? Astonish us with it, if you please.

  11. Yes, I assessed all the available evidence and concluded that you're pretty much the thoroughgoing dipstick that your posts regularly indicate.
(And, just FYI, while stem-cells look less promising in AD than in most other diseases, there seems to be a possibility that they can be used to repair the neurons after the disease has done its damage. Anyway, that's why we do the research, as I'm sure you know.)

I'll take that as a no.

How about this one? Did you read the article about the Alzheimer's treatment?

Just a yes or a no, please. I know that challenges you, but try to comprehend.
