I'm a man of my word. If I say I'll do something, I do it.

Why be scared of some small waves? Come on.

Too bad the mast of her ship is gone. Fishing vessel will pick her up.

Cut out a pair of holes on opposite sides, stick some oars through it and there you go.

    Thank God she is OK.

Hopefully her parents learned a lesson on this one. And I do not regret jumping the gun one bit.

    Least surprising post ever.

God gets the credit for her being OK.

Her parents get the blame if she hadn't been. And get no credit for teaching her how to sail and how to handle an emergency.

The human mind is a wonder sometimes.

When does God give sailing lessons, anyway? And how much does He charge?

I guess Heaven didn't need a pretty, white teenage girl with thrillseeking parents.

Plenty of posters privately glum girl sailor found alive, say observers. Plans to neener neener elsewhere continue, says a spokesman for grumpy message board experts.

I don't know anything about sailing, either, but I do know that unless you're on a super tanker, being out amid 50-foot waves, at night, can't be much fun.

We spend millions trying to keep our kids schools safe from crazy gunmen, pedophiles and their own peers, but it's OK to send a kid out across the sea just for shits and giggles.

A few kids die in a type of crib and millions are recalled. But this gets a pass?

Rick, I would say 10% chance of getting killed doing this stunt. Even if it as low as 5% or 1% that is way too high.
