I hear there is going to be a special law passed in California that allows Abby Sunderland to text while driving. Because if she can't text while driving then she's "just existing."

How -- especially as a journalist -- can you write this?

We have no idea if she panicked or not.

She may very well have panicked, resulting in her predicament, or she may have panicked after the mast broke, fearing she would be stranded and die at sea.

Why would anyone want to sail around the world just to prove it's round? What if it is flat? Why, they'll sail right off the edge.

Would love to see what kind of boat rescued her if the captain is talking about wave heights of 9-13 feet almost doing them in.

I was thinking that too. Shit, you can get that on any one of the Great Lakes.

They used their dinghy in the rescue. It's probably pretty small.

Yes, we do have an "idea."

And this from her blog today:

"I had only hoped that a ship would pass by me within a few weeks. I am really in awe. Thank you to everyone involved."

Let that settle in. Just hoping a ship would pass by, you know, within a few weeks.

Doesn't sound like someone panicked and in peril and thinking that she might die at sea.

Doesn't "prove" she didn't panic. But yes, we have a pretty good "idea" she didn't.

And how traumatized does she sound here:

"Wild Eyes and my trip have been the best thing I have ever done or been through and I don't ever want to forget all the great times we have had together, or the bad ones for that matter."

Yep. Should have just stayed home and played softball.

I wish her dad wad Liam Neeson, and he rescused her by killing a bunch of Albainian Muslim terrorists in cold blood. Then a lot of people's heads would explode trying to pick sides.

Or maybe her father would be cool with her being forced into the sex trade, as part of the family's adventurous spirit. Either way.
