It provides some good perspective and tries to clarify some things as he knows them. For people crying child endangerment, apparently Child Protective Services knew all about Abby and her trip, before she ever left, and didn't feel the need to step in and stop her.

Thomas contends that she was probably considered too good a sailor for the situation to be considered child endangerment.
