    Yeah, but "drunk."

Not saying Rodrigue was. But I would have been. A lot.

I'm not going to argue with you about your interpretation of her tweets, but there's no denying that there were a lot of folks who were really upset on social media. Search her name on Twitter and look.

At a time when black NFL players across the league are taking a knee to raise awareness of racial injustices, does the newspaper of record in North Carolina want a white beat reporter who was "definitely taking racism too lightly" covering the Panthers?

Again, I'm not calling for her to be fired, and maybe she has since matured and her tweets were taken out of context. But the perception of her is there, and that definitely matters.

She may have lobbed hideous bombs behind the cover on anonymity as well. How would anyone know?

I meant some stuff we write here, not what she wrote, which was mostly stupid/immature with a cusp of that structural racism that comes with privilege.

Cam is such a sincere, mature, leader of men ...

It's things like this that make me doubt that he had anything to do with the apology, other than reading what someone wrote for him.

That question is dumb. Basically he's asking, do you think you can move the ball down the field and score? How do you think Bill Belichick would answer that?

The question wasn't good. But that's the dance. On some level, I agree this whole charade is absurd. Because how else are you supposed to answer a question about "Do you think you'll be able to move the ball down the field and score?" Other than "Sure, of course."

    "No, I think we're screwed."

But again, that's the dance. It's much easier to do the dance than object to the game entirely.

I think it would be interesting if an athlete was like "Let's step back for a minute and examine how silly this question is. What are you trying to get out of me here? A really bland quote about how I still believe in our team? Yes, I believe in our team. This is how you'd choose to spend our time together? How about we ask more interesting, worthwhile questions and I'll give more interesting answers?"

But that's a lot to ask.

The question was about the "big chunk plays" and how important those are to the offense, how they had some against Detroit and New England, and can they maintain those every week.

It was more than "can you move the ball"

It wasn't the greatest question - or at least wasn't worded the best - but for him to walk off because of it showed what a petulant little bitch he is.

These guys get to play professional sports and they can't even have a little fucking fun with the absurdity of the peanut gallery.

Newton uses up all his fun picking out stupid looking outfits to wear to his post game press conferences.
