Can we talk about Imus like adults?

My favorite line from the Lupica column was something about the Rutgers press conference being thrilling "on television."

In other words, he watched it from home.

And yes, it was tap dancing at it's finest.

Lupica and Imus are friends. And to Imus' credit, his friends have come to his aid in his time of crisis. I didn't expect Mike to do anything less.

When my friends act like assbags, I call them assbags. Don't most people?

Hell, he had a chance to do that last week. Didn't even touch on it.

Gingerbread, the answer to your question is no.
I'll leave this up to Headbutt, his board. But if he locks it, I'm behind it.
Some of you - not many but some - need to grow up.

And five days ago, you didn't know that what Imus said was offensive hate speech.

See? Everybody's learning from this little episode.

I'd like to know what the criteria is for locking up a board.

It's subjective. And someone is always going to be unhappy about it.

A board? I don't know. Never locked up a board. Headbutt? JD? Gutter? Webby? Any of you guys ever lock up a board?

I lock threads when I sense it has turned in a bad way but doesn't merit a deletion. Can't speak for the others. I will say the mistakes I've made in this job usually come with a deletion, not with a locking. I'll also lock threads now and then when there might be trouble and I don't have time to check it out fully. I've unlocked many a thread that I locked earlier.
