Can we talk about Imus like adults?

The are both fruit, grow above ground, you can make juice from both or eat them. Both are nice on salads or as a snack. They both cost similar amounts and have different varieties.

Snoop with the serious rant against I-mizzle.

That's just WAY too idiotic. Anyone who has ever listened to any rap lyrics (which I presume includes Stuart Scott) would instantly know the way that term is generally used in those songs would not be construed as "affectionate" by any woman with self-respect. If you can't defend the inconsistency in the terms usage, just admit it, but to attempt that twisted false rationalization is just embarrassing.

  5. This is a wonderful exercise in alibi-building.

    Your point Kirk?

I hope you don't have any women in your life, cause you're coming off like a misogynistic dick on this thread.

Fenian is right. In today's twisted world, using objectionable language to defame or disrespect someone has become more acceptable in some circles than responding to the degrading language. One looks worse rebutting than the other looks defaming.

No wonder it's so common nowadays to spew hate speech. It's the new high road.

I thought Rutgers was in New Brunswick.

Coach Viv can now go on the speaking circuit and make about 25K a speech.

Boo-Yah and 'idiotic' never seem to be too far apart. *sigh*

As much as I disagree with Kirk, "Real World Piscataway" was funny.

  12. The way this whole thing has morphed into a discussion of rap music is the most intricate example of excuse-making I;ve ever seen.
Is anyone here willing to say, for the record, that what Imus says is mitigated by what is said on a rap CD? That Imus should be beyond serious accountability because of that? Of not, what are we talking about, if not an gussied-up version of the lame-ass "Black folks use the n-word, too, so what's wrong if I do it?" argument.
