Monk made three Pro Bowls in a 15-plus year career. He was the last WR on the all-decade team of the 1980s who wasn't in.

And looking at the numbers again . . .I don't get how Tippett gets in, but Derrick Thomas does not. He was superior at the same role, and for better teams.

 

The thing that bugs me about Hall of Fame voting is that Pro Bowl appearances seem to carry a lot of weight. But every year you see some guys make it on name recognition alone.
