    I really, really understand the problem with Ray Guy. It's even more difficult to evaluate a punter than a closer in baseball, but if there are placekickers in the HOF, why the hell not punters?

    Tippett ahead of Jackson just chaps my ass. Freakin' unbelievable.

    The 49ers rotated all their D-linemen in the mid-'80s. Dean was no more indispensable than Hacksaw Reynolds or Michael Carter.
