Theismann as a broadcaster should pay to visit the HOF.

D'Oh, I misread the post above my earlier post. For some reason, I didn't read Green.

But Green is a definite lock.

Theismann, as a broadcaster, probably shouldn't be allowed near the Hall of Fame.

He might not be allowed in Canton, Ohio.

Better. Not sure the pro-Monk voters let Carter or Reed get in until their guy makes it, though.

in bold are the ones who I think has a strong chance of getting the call
in red are the ones who I think has a likely chance
in green is the one who, personally to me, should be voted in, or I'll kick Peter King's fat ass.

If a special teamer is ever going to get in - and I doubt I'll live to see it - Steve Tasker should be the first.

OJ Anderson or Plunkett? No way. Agree on the others. Grimm should be an automatic.

Non-kickers, you mean? I'll agree with you, but of course I'm heavily biased on this topic.

If you go by Ira Miller's "can you write the history of the game without him?" benchmark, though, he may have a good argument. The league made a new rule to stop his kamikaze runs down the sideline, and changed the Pro Bowl selection process to include him.

But again, I love me some #89, so keep those grains of salt handy.

He should be a first-ballot lock.

Among first-timers, besides Darrell Green, Richmond Webb was the man during the prime of his career. Of course, with the way the NFL does things, it can take years upon years for guys to get in the Hall.
