How many full seasons did Boselli play? If he had stayed healthy, he'd be there, but injuries took too many good years away from him.

O-linemen have been first-balloters, I think Anthony Munoz was (?). But they do seem to need long tenures for HOF, probably because there are no stats to build cases for those with shorter careers.

Andre Tippett gets in next year if he carries Rickey Jackson's jock in this year.

And Ray Guy should get special consideration because he was usually the no-$h!t third-string QB on the depth chart. Not to mention being a spectacular punter.

Good call on Rickey Jackson. Great player for a long time, mostly on shit teams.

I'm biased, having grown up a Saints fan, and I don't know whether he deserves to be in the HOF or not. He did get his ring with SF, but that guy was a gamer. He was in a horrific rollover car wreck in the middle of a season, missed only two games and wound up playing with his jaw wired shut.

Gary Zimmerman should be in. Wasn't he on the league's all decade team for both the 80s and 90s?

Not sure about that, but he was a great NFL linemen for a long time. I think he had a couple of years in the USFL, too.

No punter should get in. The best one of all time, when you get right down to it, isn't that much better than the worst one of all time.

Bruce Matthews was one this year. Good point, though.

The Hall of Fame's biggest travesty right now is that Art Monk isn't in it.

As a Dolphins fanboy looser, I'll go along with whoever touted Richmond Webb. What about Randall McDaniel? He was a Pro Bowl guard for ages.

What is the over/under for a lineman to get consideration?

    Five Pro Bowls?

Right now Will Shields has 11 Pro Bowls. Does that get the nod?

    Dermontti Dawson played in seven.
