mustard, who should be in? Atwater? Big hitter and a good "center fielder" type, but a relative liability in coverage. Very good safety, not a Hall of Famer.

Who has been left out that should be in?

No disrespect to Sam Mills, the original and the SportsJournalists.com version, but have you lost your mind, sir?

Off the top of my head, mind you:

Gary Zimmerman -- as previously mentioned
Floyd Little -- think he was in the top 10 in career yards rushing when he retired
Randy Gradishar -- Played something like 10 or 11 or 12 years and made something like 7 or 8 Pro Bowls.
Steve Atwater -- Made the Pro Bowl damn near every year of his career. Blew up Christian Okoye.

And, yeah, the fanboy in me says Terrell Davis.

    Lester Hayes.

    Dammit.

One of the most intimidating, dominant defensive players of his time. A scary individual.

    He belongs.

The Sabols have probably done more for the NFL than anyone on the list - Ray Guy deserves to be in there as well.

    Terrel Davis = Mattingly + 2 rings.

Yeah ... well ... when did Mattingly ever run for 2,000 yards? Huh?

Seriously, though, those two rings were pretty much singlehandedly won by Davis. And if Michael Dean Perry would have lugged his fat ass off the field, it might well have been three. Lardass. Not that I'm bitter or anything. Noooooooooooo.

I'm with you on Zimmerman. Obviously, we disagree on Atwater. I don't know enough about Little to say. Gradishar? I think right there with Atwater in the Hall of Very Good.

    That second part was funny...

Terrell Davis would have been a lock if he could have stayed healthy for probably two more seasons...

It sucks, but you can't put him in...

Cris Carter will make it, but might have to wait a year or two... Green should be a first-ballot lock...

Simms and Plunkett will be the best two QBs who don't ever get in...

Hate to support a former member of the Raiders or agree with BYH, but Hayes absolutely belongs. Fantastic corner in every area.
