Car drives into Bourbon Street crowd, kills at least 10

Oh my. There were no bollards — a word I heard for the first time today — at the intersection of Canal and Bourbon. There was, however, a parked police SUV with its lights flashing. The guy just drove around it.

Had it up to 25 at the halftime update. Checking AP and CNN, I see at least 10 dead and 25 injured, so maybe he got them mixed up.

Still, it's been almost worth years since the Damar Hamlin injury that Joe Buck handled so expertly ...

Sounds like a typical Louisiana politician to me, but that's not a good thing. I guess I missed the entertaining part. He was out of line, but still doesn't tack up to the bullshit from Kennedy.

I first heard the term “bollard” used while watching a documentary on the 1983 Beirut bombing.

 

Kennedy was ridiculous and grandstanding as well. I just didn't like the bullying from Landry over reasonable nuts and bolts questions that needed to be asked. That whole press conference was a shit show for all involved.

 

I’ve said a version of this before on this board. I understand why people vote for conservatives but I don’t understand why they vote for the ones who are the absolute biggest pieces of shit to everyone they interact with.

 

I was wondering if Rece Davis wasn’t saying something that was known but not official when he kept saying 15. Sadly appears to be the case.

 

The part I haven’t seen much reporting around is that two IEDs were found, according to law enforcement. Precisely where? Was the attacker supposed to activate them beforehand? Someone else?
