    Does that not describe Vietnam?

    You & I & everyone here might think so, but it's still a judgement call that's inappropriate for the news headline. Why could the word futile not have been replaced by Vietnam? Are you afraid that your readers won't know the reference?

    It's quiet on this thread.....too quiet. (not that I'm hoping someone goes to the beyond...)

    Posted this on the now cold Malden thread. Malden and Douglas of the Streets of San Francisco each won, or went on to win Oscars. Can you name the only American TV show that had THREE members of the regular cast that had won, or would go on to win an Oscar. Hint - one of the wins wasn't in an acting category.

    Don't think you'll get anything more than Ron Howard out of the Happy Days cast. And Different World had only Marisa Tomei.
