It's interesting that the biggest names (Brian Kelly and Mike Gundy) who are reported to be "interested" in the Florida job are both having pretty crappy seasons.

I would hire Gundy over Kelly in a heartbeat, but that's just me.

To take it a step further, if Miles is hired and does well, in 5-7 years Michigan would be back on solid footing and would be in a far better position to nab who it wants on its terms. Michigan isn't in that position right now.

He could kill as many student managers as he likes. They put up with Aaron Hernandez for crissakes.

Absolutely. Fan apathy alone is reason enough for Hoke to get fired. Add in the team looking so terrible this year and the whole concussion/I didn't see anything issue, plus his big supporter (Brandon) being booted, no way. I don't think even a miracle win over tOSU this weekend would save Hoke.

It's kind of similar as to when Alabama hired Saban. Everyone automatically said "but he'll never stay!"

The response was "yeah, but even if he leaves in 3-4 years, Alabama will be so much better by then in terms of talent it won't matter who the coach is."

Miles isn't Saban, but he'd definitely get that program turned in the right direction in a hurry.

He'd be able to kill student managers and the local media would defend him for it.

As long as he was 5-0 when he killed him.

Put me in the Miles to AA, Jimbo to Baton Rouge, Kiffin to Hassee camp.

Kelly to Gainesville has kind of a interesting ring to it. I still keep thinking about Leach to Lawrence. He would be hell bent on beating everyone else in the Big 12.

Leach to Lawrence would be a good one, but I kind of believe as someone mentioned several pages back that he may be blackballed in the Big 12.

Don't think that's the case anymore. I know he was mentioned for KU a year ago.

Is Kansas that big a step up from Washington State for Leach? I think both schools are places where if you win half your games you can stay a while. If Leach does leave I would think he would want a higher tier program.
