Plus paying Muschamp $6.3 Million and whatever is owed to the assistants who are getting let go, and the Gators will be in for $15 million or so not including salary for him and the assistants.

Not surprisingly, Florida came out this morning and denied offering the job to anyone:

Agree. That's insane and I have no idea why he would have agreed to that.

I suspect if he does get this job or another one, he'll pay a portion of the buyout and the school will pay the rest.

Was it ever reported that the job had been offered? I read a couple things yesterday that said McElwain is the favorite and Freeze is also being considered.

Yeah, it's SBNation, but the guy who reported that is pretty well plugged-in at Ole Miss.

Make that reporter. With the Bills and Sabers getting wall-to-wall coverage, only one guy at the Buffalo News regularly writes about UB football, and not on a daily basis. I wish him luck because I want the Bulls to succeed, but he will be a very small fish in a very large pond.

And if he has any kind of success, he'll probably be at Syracuse, Connecticut or Rutgers within 3-4 years.

Oregon AD says he hasn't been contacted by anyone from Nebraska about Scott Frost, which means Frost will probably get the job:

Well, 24 hours have almost passed, so I guess that means Nebraska has no interest in the guy. :D

Something called FootballScoop.com reporting Josh McDaniels being considered as candidate by Florida. I assume Tebow vouched for him.

He won't get a top job, but if I'm a non-P5 school I give the UAB coach a hard look. Figure he'd be able to bring along a few of his players.
