Who will be the first to get another head coaching gig: Pelini, Hoke or Muschamp?

I'm thinking there will be a Ann Arbor to Baton Rouge flight booked within the next couple hours.

OK. I like Jimmy and all. You don't think you could do a lot better than him, though?

Well, it comes down to who Florida could actually get.

The last time Florida went to the MWC well, it worked out pretty well for them, and McElwain has SEC ties.

Who knows? He was a successful offensive coordinator at a big school, goes to a mid-major as a head coach and turns a program around. Isn't that a pretty common trail for a major school head coach?

He could be Urban Meyer without the douchebag.

If this happens, I like the hire.

The coaches who impress me the most are the ones who turn around programs and win at places where it is very difficult to recruit to and win. That's when you have a pretty good idea that the coach has an eye for talent is a great recruiter and most importantly, can coach.

I don't know if Hugh Freeze is a great coach. I suspect he's good, but he may just be reaping the benefits of that unbelievable recruiting class he had two years ago.

I thought Foley had the right idea when he hired Muschamp, because he was looking for the next big thing. Well, as it turned out, giving a guy his first HC job at one of the top programs in the country was clearly too much for him.
