I'll be curious what number they settle on. I'll be stunned if this doesn't get done.

If the McElwain deal goes through Pelini would seem to be a logical prospect for CSU.

Florida just tweeted: We've had very productive conversations with Coach McElwain and his wife Karen and those continue.

Loosely translated: Expect a press conference tomorrow.

Yeah, they wouldn't even comment on it if it wasn't all but done.

Nebraska pursuing Bret Bielema, per Football Scoop:

I'm just kind of surprised they didn't make a real hard run at Gundy......Kelly......or any other medium-big name.

It makes me wonder if they did that to put more pressure on CSU to reach an agreement on the buyout.

It's been written in several places that Florida will not even consider any coach who has had NCAA issues in the past, which eliminates Gundy and Kelly. I'm not sure if Freeze falls into that category.

    That would be interesting.

I'm not sure it would be a terrible move for him or Nebraska. He goes to a conference where it will be easier for him to win and where he's had success in the past.

Apparently shutting out LSU and Ole Miss got some people's attention.

And the AD at Nebraska (Shawn Eichorst) was Barry Alvarez's executive assistant at Wisconsin when Bielema was there.
