I knew that would rankle someone. When I say "heard of WAR," I mean it literally. I am happy to discuss baseball with someone who doesn't respect new stats. But if you haven't even heard of WAR, you probably don't know much about baseball.

The show didn't even run for three years, but someone's a douchebag for liking the most popular sketch from that short run?

 

It's possible, of course, to appreciate the social commentary and storytelling of "The Wire" and still think Omar was the best character. Because, well, he was.

And if a Baltimore Orioles closer ever decides to come out to the "Farmer in the Dell" — which would be the greatest use of music in sports since Rick Vaughn — I'm going to travel across the country just to hear it in person.

That wasn't a sketch. Dave Chappelle's standup is incredible, though. His bit on the baby drug dealer fucking kills me every time.
