I’m allowed to drink clear liquids the day before - no purple, no red.

So, Ginger Ale, Gatorade, clear broth.

They don’t expect people to fast. Got to have some liquid calories.

    Oh, no alcohol either.

Clear wonton soup broth was the shit for me. Quite literally!

I love my doctor so much. When I asked her if there was anything I needed to handle the prep, she smiled and said, “A good book and a sweet-smelling candle.”

Being reminded this morning that hot chicken does the same job without a prescription.

Yeah. Okay. Not something I’m used to doing.

I just had my colonoscopy recently and I’ll agree that the prep is the worst part. I actually thought I could work in the afternoon, but I had already planned for the day off.

I believe they use propofol to knock you out, the same stuff that Michael Jackson OD’d on. But, I had a great team and woke up 30 minutes later and don’t have to go back for 10 years.

Most people feel fine once they wake up, but you still aren't supposed to drive that day.

I was still out of sorts for an hour or two, but that's how I react to anesthetic.
