Chevy Volt a Failure - GM to Layoff 1,300

Not a "gotcha " at all. Just pointing out another impracticality and impediment to moving to electric cars for the masses. The Tesla almost makes The Volt look like a viable solution.

Just thinking that the typical demographic of a Tesla owner does not call for a cuisine of McDonalds.

One interesting problem with the Tesla Supercharger: it only works on Tesla's Model S.

Not only does it not work for other electric cars, it won't even recharge the Tesla Roadster.

I understand why you'd keep something like this proprietary for as long as possible, but I also think there'd be some value in treating it as an open source asset to be used by others.

 

A charger for the 1 %ers. Not a good business model in this day and age to garner public funds and support.
