Don't misunderstand, the protest isn't against the belief. It's against the political action taken in its name.

I don't think it's an inconsistency. Azrael et al. have limitations on the amount of devotion/effort they can devote to causes that are important to them. Further, Azrael et al. hope to accomplish the greatest net effect with their devotion/effort. In their estimation, a boycott of Chick-fil-a* appears to be a good "investment" and one of Middle East petro-states doesn't. No inconsistency at all.

*I don't recall whether Az is boycotting CFA, but if Az is, can I have his** fries?

**And I assume Az is male, but I have been wrong on this before.

Not to nitpick, but you forgot to include a percentage of fatasses who enjoy Chick-fil-A food too much to boycott.

I'm gonna go ahead and nominate myself as president of that club.

Really? Does Chick-Fil-A force its gay customers to make sweet heterosexual love for a chicken sandwich?

Does it matter? If you patronized a business and found out it was owned by someone who advocated the death penalty for gays and lived under a system that kept women as virtual slaves, would you continue to patronize it? Or is your indignation reserved only for those of the Western, Christian faith?

By the way, where did you see the word "Muslim" in my post?

They're preventing American citizens from marrying who they want. Based upon a book that not everyone in the country believes in.

    That's a lie.

Has Chick-Fil-A prevented one gay couple from marrying? The owner may be against it. But he's not preventing anyone from leading the lifestyle they choose. Not sure a fast-food chicken chain has that kind of clout.

I was stating my own case. (Which is completely hypothetical.)

But I'm not sure how you can say it's a lie for everyone engaged in it.

Are there currently other, non-Sharia countries in which the state penalty for homosexuality is death?

Baron, your worldview is a constant source of humor.
