And now even wwe.com is "confirming" a double murder-suicide.

Story is he told WWE he was leaving on Saturday for a "family emergency", which at the time was described as the wife and son coughing blood. They didn't announce his not being at the pay per view until right before his match. The fans, seeing the replacement, chanted "we want Benoit!"

    OK, go with me here.

No stabbing, no gunshots. But Benoit just did in the one match I saw (might have been his thing) him dragging his thumb across his throat in a slitting motion.

If he slit their throats...that would lead to them 'coughing blood.' So he wouldn't have been lying per se.

The hand slicing across the throat motion has been a Benoit in-ring taunt forever. Who knew it would be foreshadowing?

  5. Reading that just made me sick to my stomach, especially after watching the tribute show and everyone saying how great of a guy. Wife suggests a mental illness for Benoit that nobody knew about. If he did kill them, what could drive him to that? Depression? Was he in fact taking drugs? Just very, very sad.

I'll never understand how someone can kill their own child. Heartbreaking.

  7. This is getting worse by the minute second

Ok...I just turned on the last 10 mins or so, just by the one guy's phrasing, seemed like that was the first time of mentioning it.

I meant to say I thought he was at the site for the match and left beforehand after receiving the emergency call.

As I said earlier, this might end up more f'ed up than Dino Bravo.

Boy this is creepy. My heart goes out to the surviving family members.

I hate to say it, but my first thought (and Dr. J's) was roids.

I'm sorry if I'm not making any sense but I'm in shock. Didn't Chris Benoit have severe neck problems a few years back?

    Hadn't seen this until now.

Pope said "the instruments of death were located on scene," but he would not specify what those instruments are or where in the house the bodies were found. Pope added the department is "not actively searching for any suspects outside of the house."
