No way. This will be front page news for a few days, then rasslin fans will wonder about the next storyline.

This is entertainment. What the performers do to make it on stage is of little interest to the fandom. If they thought that much about it, they wouldn't be wrestling fans. Or pro football fans. Or American Idol fans.

To me, that's the most disturbing part of the whole thing. The guy had clearly lost his marbles, and I think it'll be very difficult for McMahon to come out of this very well.

Agreed. Just like any tragedy. Even something on a huge scale, like 9/11. Days afterward, people cried out (and rightfully so) for stricter security measures at airports. Now, whenever I'm at an airport or know someone who's leaving on a trip, people complain about the inconvenience. Time seperation heals wounds, in all aspects of life.

I don't see how anyone can really blame McMahon. Steroids or not, he didn't force Benoit to do what he did. There are thousands of people on steroids in this country. Very few resort to murder. Something inside Benoit's mind was wrong, steroids or not.

Some of you just had to change an avatar. I had to change my fucking user name.

Whatever the judgements that are being passed down from everyone, just remember, anyone can snap. Sure, it appears that steroids and other drugs played a huge part, but every one of us has a brain and that brain can malfunction.

Some of us might be bi-polar and not even know it. Some of us do all kinds of stupid shit when drunk. You just never know.

He is still alive, but the drug they think caused his violence was called Tridione.

If a drug can have this effect on this child, why not a steriod on an adult?

This is a bit off topic, but anybody who lumps Justin Strzelczyk in with Benoit, or Mike Webster for that matter, is doing so out of ignorance. Strzelczyk was never linked to steroids and if you ever saw the man outside of his football uniform you would understand why. He was just a big strong guy, not particularly muscular for his size.

I have heard his issues and self-destruction linked to the damage from multiple concussions and bi-polar disorder, but not steroids or any other illegal drugs.

Webster also suffered the results of multiple concussions, and possibly like Benoit, the effects of using steroids and painkillers. Though I don't know of any reported violent behavior by Webster off the field.

Wow. I think this is the first name change since Webby's new rules last summer.

This is totally insane. I feel bad for his extended family & the wrestling world. I will have more to say on this soon.

Thanks for letting us know you'll be posting later about this, JD-BagV. Another garbage YouTube video?

From wrestlingobserver.com: X: Fayette (Ga.) County district attorney Scott Ballard said law enforcement officials believe Benoit killed his wife Nancy on Friday night via affixation, then did the same to Daniel on Saturday morning before hanging himself Saturday night.

I thought he basically called into work on Sunday for "personal reasons?"

But...: : A WWE “co-worker” [believed Chavo Guerrero] received a text message on a delayed basis from Benoit. Officials declined to elaborate on what information the messages contained.

So did Benoit back out of Sunday night's PPV with some sort of delayed message?
