He died two weeks ago! His limo exploded! Federal investigators investigated!

Actually, given HIS definition, he's either Jack Lallane or he's playing with fire with whatever gas he's pumping himself with.

Let me preface this by saying I've been a wrestling fan for 26 years and Benoit was one of my all-time favorite performers to watch. Everything I had heard about the man said he deserved to be respected. Obviously, we were all wrong.

But, don't give Benoit the out by blaming steroids. There are thousands and thousands of people on steroids in this country and not all of them commit a double homicide. There was something within Benoit's psyche that allowed him to perform such a heinous and deplorable act.

In my opinion, he was a killer who HAPPENED to take steroids.

He taught Benoit the Crossface. And the armbar.

That's what I was thinking. I'm guessing he'd been on roids for many, many years without killing his family, so why should we suspect that when he did kill them it had something to do with the roids?

Steroids didn't do it on their own, but they probably intensified what was already there. So they're an accessory, not the main suspect.

I know it's long since passed, but for those who were saying stuff about the sidesaddles, I finally changed mine.

    Two items:

    1. WWE is cancelling its tour of western Canada set for July 14-17, with shoes in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Regina axed. According to their press release, it's out of "respect for the surviving members of the Benoit family and the city of Edmonton."

    2. According to TVWeek.com, Vince McMahon is going to open ECW tonight with a public apology for last night's Benoit tribute. They're in full damage control mode now.

Benoit is the only one to blame for this.

Time will pass and the steroid outcry will fade. MLB and NFL players get away with it every day, and since nothing drastic is likely to happen, why should wrestling be any different?

And nothing will change. There's as much chance of getting steroids out of professional athletes as we do getting cocaine away from Hollywood.

I've said it about baseball and football, but if the performers choose to take the shit, I really don't care. It's not my problem.

I may be in the minority, but I'm not sure he needs to apologize. Granted, I was out of the loop yesterday, so I'm still not certain on the timeline. Did they know with certainty it was a murder-suicide by showtime? If not, he's got nothing to apologize for.

Now THAT is possibly more fucked up than anything. People snap. Fine. Don't understand it, but it happens.

Juicing a 7-year-old? Fuck me running.
