The WWE as we know it is done.

In one month from now, the WWE will be running the same as it always was and this thread will be on page 20.

It's tragedy, it's life and people move on. I don't mean to sound callous because this is a horrific tragedy, but we've all moved on from tragedies that have affected the nation. But because it's fresh, it feels like WWE will never recover.

This was not an accident, this was a murder with steroids involved.

Wow, talk about a downward spiral.

I agree with whoever said that the WWE will be the same again pretty soon. Once this fades of the front page, McMahon will go back to turning a blind eye to everyone shooting up. There will be another death in the next year or two, it will all come back again, then fade away,

O'Reilly had a stat (for what its worth) that about 40 current of former pro wrestlers have died before the age of 45 in THE LAST 10 YEARS! (O'Reilly's outrage, not mine)

Yes, you're right. But there's tragedies that occur in all walks of life, from people of all types of professions. I'm just saying, it's really easy to make such dramatic, sweeping statements while everything is so fresh, but the cold reality is, this will be put on the backburner in as little as a month from now and WWE will continue to go about its business.

Also, I don't think WWE deserves blame. This is about fucking CHRIS BENOIT. Giving him an out, blaming steroids, blaming Vince McMahon, blaming WWE. Fuck that. This guy was a killer and he took out his wife and baby boy. To blame someone else is to lessen his guilt.

It didn't seem like anyone replied to this, so just to answer, they've known who killed Brody all along.

The section on his death has the details, but leaves out stories from the American wrestlers who were there (Dutch Mantell, Tony Atlas) that they weren't contacted to be witnesses in the murder trial until it was too late, which was why Gonzalez was able to go free.

This is true, but some of those don't fall under the "steroid/heart attack/drug addiction" category. Plus, not all of those guys were WWE wrestlers. A lot are from smaller promotions who didn't take care of themselves properly.

But he won't tell you how many were drugs, how many were car wrecks, etc.
It kills his argument, so he fails to mention it.

Scarborough used stats from USA Today's story in 2004. A lot of prominent drug-related deaths, led by Guerrero, Brian Pillman and a lot of mid-card type wrestlers.

Oh god here's Scarborough shocked beyond all compare that WWE did a tribute show to Benoit. This can't end well.

I've got a bad feeling Vince will turn tonight's "apology" into some kind of WWE defense campaign. This could be very bad.
