I still find it hard to believe that WWE is able to market itself as family-friendly entertainment.

WWE doesn't hold their talent to the same standards as legit sports do, although I'm not sure of all the proper scentific terms. If you're on steroids then some sort of testosterone ratio in your system will be above a certain point. I believe the IOC, as of a few years ago at least, said the number is 6. If you're over 6, you're on something. WWE's policy sets it at 10, with results at 6-9 meaning you're supposed to get tested again or evaluted by a doctor or some such. Wrestlers can still test positive with values less than 10, depending on what's found in the re-test or evaluation. But they can also end up considered negative with a test over 6, is my point.

Bottom line, wrestlers can still use steroids the way their testing is set up, and many probably still do. Though they shouldn't be able to use them anything near the levels they could when it was unchecked.

For them to come out and say Benoit tested negative, though, would have to indicate that he didn't have anything in his system, as I can't imagine them being dumb enough to say he was "negative" if he simply fell into that 6-9 range that didn't count as a positive under their specific policy.

He's got the right argument, just not as clean of stats as he should. There are too many drug deaths.

The gist of what it says for those who don't go there themselves:

Four of the five messages (to different WWE employees who aren't named) simply listed his home address. The other said his dogs were near the pool, with a side door unlocked.

The WWE then talks about their Benoit timeline: He was supposed to appear at a show Saturday, but called to say he couldn't make it. The WWE booked a flight for him for Sunday, but never could get ahold of him again. Then Monday, the WWE still couldn't reach him and called the local police to check on him. Later Monday, the WWE was told of the three dead bodies in the house. With little time to react and little information to go on, the WWE decided to air a tribute to Benoit. Now, as the facts have come out, the WWE is removing references to him.

    Fixed.

They weren't told Sunday. It was Monday around 4.

Brody's friend, Manny Fernandez, attempted to avenge his death by nearly killing Invader III in the ring. Fernandez lays out the Invader and then jumps onto him from the top rope...three times. After he lands the first time, Invader can be seen throwing up blood. The referee tries to stop him, but Fernandez jumps twice more before leaving the ring as others rush in.

Warning: This video -- though of poor quality -- is VERY GRAPHIC.

That video is a work. It was a staged event. That's been proven before.

Besides, if you want to talk about wrestling, you should do it in the pro wrestling thread in "Anything Goes" ... this should be exclusively about the Benoit case because a majority of the people don't give a rats ass about wrestling and just want the facts on the case.

There's a lot of irony here for me.

I have spoken with my son's doctors about Human Growth Hormone, as he is about 2 years behind physically, mentally and emotionally. Of course, we would have been doing it under the close supervision of a doctor.

My son suffers from Asperger's syndrome, which is a mile form of autism. I have never heard of this "Fragile X" syndrome, but my son and I have some of the symptoms listed on the Internet. You can damn well bet I'll be doing more research on the subject.

And I still say put yourself in Benoit's relatives' shoes. I'm not in any way condoning what he did; I'm only saying that nobody in their right mind kills themselves, let alone two people they love. He must have been pretty fucked up, whether it was steroids, alcohol, other drugs, depression or whatever.

    From 1wrestling.com:

WARNING SIGNS THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH CHRIS BENOIT
    By: Bob Ryder
    6/26/2007 5:08:55 PM

In speaking with close friends and confidants of Chris Benoit contacted this afternoon, apparently there were some warning signs that something was wrong with Benoit.

Some of the information learned by 1Wrestling.com by colleagues and friends that did not want to be quoted:

"This wasn't roid rage, this was insanity. Roid rage doesn't last for 48 hours. There were signs that something was wrong. Stories have emerged that a year ago he became paranoid and believed he was being followed. He wouldn't let Nancy leave the house because he believed someone was out to get them."

“Chris hated religion. He didn't believe in it. I cannot comprehend him putting bibles by the bodies. I am shocked.” (Note: We have been contacted by other friends of Benoit who say he had recently become a religious person)

In addition, 1Wrestling has learned that sources close to Nancy are reporting that she had a safety deposit box with evidence of past rages and that authorities should check the box if anything ever happened to her.
