Saying "artist sell sex and violence" isn't the same as ME saying "they're not speaking for a community" as I've done in this thread.

While you're coming in here to rescue this clown based on comments I never alluded to, you should take a look at his idiotic rational of tying an unrelated artform to someones screwed up behavior that's been a scourge to society for centuries and cuts across all cultures.

I won't allow some clown to tie an entire community, a community he knows nothing about, to the behavior of one clown just because he shares a similar hue and sings.

That's as ridiculous as you coming in here misconstruing my point.

Kinda going overboard with the clowns there, Chee.

And why does spnited need to be "rescued"? Are you under the impression that you were delivering some sort of thrashing?

Eh....I see you're apt to devote most of your time in this thread debating my choice of verbage than you would admonishing someone who used obvious stereotypes throughout this thread.

I see the bunker mentality in here still lives.

PWNed how? There are several stations not playing his stuff. I haven't heard a single song of his where I live since the incident went down.

What's he's accused of doing makes all of his romantic songs tripe and bullshit. He's lost it if he did it, and he's got a long battle ahead of him even if he didn't.

Would the outrage against him be as strong if the woman wasn't Rhianna?

I think it would be strong, on basic principle, but anytime the victim of a crime is known, it ramps it up. It's why there's more outrage when an athlete gets busted for drinking and driving vs. Joey the town drunk where you live.

But yes, I think people would still be pissed if Chris Brown were accused of physically violating any woman. It's not like R Kelly was OK because he only peed on a 13-year-old no one knew.

Kanye said it wouldn't matter if she worked at McDonald's. I'd like to think that's true.

Didn't watch the Grammys, but read about Brown showing up later and was seen sitting in the audience next to Diddy. We got a Combs-Carter feud about to erupt?
Gotta hand to Jay-Z - between this alleged threat to Brown and his Obama remarks that drew O'Reilly's ire, he makes sure Beyonce's at a distance when he keeps it real.

There's certainly no star power from some random McDonald's employee to help fuel this issue along.  Honestly, I'm happy this issue is receiving this much traction. Domestic abuse needs to be broadcast into the public spotlight and receive more attention than it currently does.  It cuts across all racial, ethnic and class lines.  But you wouldn't think that when hearing some of these phonies put on their psyche caps and attach it to certain groups.
