I'm not the only one saying it, spnited. And I appreciate the personal shot. I've avoided doing that, and wish you had done the same.

Just because Chris Brown doesn't rap himself does not mean he is not part of the rap/hip-hop community. His collaborators, right from the beginning of his career, have included the likes of Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Nas, Bow Wow, Ludacris and David Banner.

    Nice shirt, Chris.

He's as much a part of that community as anyone is.

Guess I'd better not listen to my Tupac albums then. Or hang out with my friend who has a Biggie t-shirt.

I can see where you're coming from, and I can see how you'd see it like that. I disagree, because I just don't believe in this wide-ranging "community" thing. I don't think there are rules you sign up for or meetings you go to. That's where I'm coming from.

You took a shot at me by misrepresenting my post to imply that I was saying it was no big deal ...because you didn't get the sarcasm.

No, I didn't. I don't think it was. But if you say it was, then fine.

You showed up, and cleared it up. Can we finally get past that and try to figure out what you're talking about with your insistence of what he said in his songs (that you never listened to or looked up) or your statement that I was proving old_tony's point? You haven't been as quick to clear those things up.

He's African American. He wears a Biggie Smalls T-Shirt so let's lump him into the rap community. Thanks for the stereotype.

Hey, Drippage, did you miss the part where I pointed out his collaborations with several well-known rap/hip-hop artists? Yeah, I thought so.

As for the shirt, he was photographed wearing it at a performance (see the microphone in his right hand?) so I don't think I'm grasping at straws when I say that he appears, on this particular occasion, at least, to want to be identified with the rap community.

But, hey, don't let the facts get in the way of your incessant trolling.

P.S. By the way, Drippage, I believe that you are the one perpetuating the stereotype if you are insinuating that only "African Americans" belong in the rap community. Chew on that one, dawg.

Choking on this as I type it..but he never said only African-Americans belong in the "rap community." What he said, or how I read it, was that it was easier for some judging without knowledge to assume he was because he is African-American.

If someone said "so and so wears baggy pants, he must be in the "rap community"" does that mean only people who wear baggy pants are in that "community?"

I think he should be locked up for wearing a Biggie shirt :)

Maybe I misread his intention. I certainly didn't miss the accusation he made, though. Being that it's Drip, who never saw a thread to which he didn't feel compelled to add his "learned thoughts," I suppose I just should have ignored the whole thing.

    Fair enough. :D

I was just saying how I read it.
