not a Laker hater at all, I think Kobe is the best player in the league. I also think he raped that girl.

Wow, you're open minded about it, thinking he's great on the court, but also that he probably raped that young lady. Then why would you paint with a broad brush, and accuse someone else of thinking the way they do because of fandom?

C'mon let's be realistic, are you telling me fans (not all) can't be loyal to a fault? I am willing to bet the majority of people that defend Bryant are Laker fanatics.

I also wouldn't disagree with you that some people just simply hate the Lakers, it does go both ways.

I appreciate Kobe the player not the person.

Actually, I'm not particularly a Lakers fan, but I am confused how to many people, the lacrosse players at Duke who were accused of rape were actually innocent victims, and Kobe was a rapist who got way with it.

The initial comment you made accused Kobe of being a "raping" a woman, and the facts don't support it.

You think the fact the accusers name and address got out and she was receiving death threats had anything to do with her dropping the charges?

It's not even remotely the same as the Duke lacrosse case where the stripper has proven to be a lair.

The name of the accuser in the Duke lacrosse case was also released.

Not to mention, Kobe's accuser can't drop charges. If someone is charged with rape, only the prosecutor's office can drop the charges, not the accuser.

Read the article, they dropped them because she wouldn't proceed. They clearly state they believe her story to be completely credible. I suggest you read the details of the case and the details Kobe admits to. He admits to choking her and admits to finishing in her face after she says no.

The two cases aren't nearly the same.

The actual evidence and the documents in Bryant's case are pretty damning. Gingerbread would know much better than I, since she covered it. IIRC, she told him no to anal, and he did it anyway, which meets the definition of rape in Colorado.

Thanks for backing up my original claim about Kobe. No means no.
Now, everyone thinks he's a hero.
    Amazing.

How do you assume someone who says Kobe isn't a rapist means they think he's a hero? The fact is, you wouldn't refer to him as a rapist in print, would you, because you would be factually wrong. The link JC posted doesn't say Kobe admitted to forcing her after she said no, it says she accused him of that. All accusations of sexual assault are "damning." But cases can be tried even without the help of the victim and often are if there is evidence, but in this case, the county dropped the charges, the girl got some money and Kobe, in actual fact, not based on my opinion of what happened, is not a "rapist."
