The cornfield in Iowa where Field of Dreams was filmed. It's actually on two properties and there have been disputes over the use of the property.

When they were still allegedly in Detroit, when Axel was playing pool with a guy and found out about the friend being killed and decided to go to L.A. to check it out, that bar -- named Harvelle's -- is in Santa Monica.

    Also, Flashdance=Pittsburgh.

    The Hangover. ;D

I think I knew RB was filmed in Seattle. The other one, didn't know.

Sleepless in Seattle had some good stuff in it, as did that new Jennifer Aniston flick.

10 Things I Hate About You was filmed in Tacoma. :) That beautiful high school is a PUBLIC school.

"Without Limits" was filmed in Eugene (as any good Prefontaine movie should be) and got a good feel for the crazy Oregon/track fans.

I seem to remember the whole field was bought up by one of the owners a couple of years ago, and the ever-reliable Wiki confirms:

Most of the movies and TV shows set in Seattle in recent years have painted a nice picture of Vancouver.

A Bronx Tale, though shot in Brooklyn, captures my old neighborhood in the Bronx well.

De Niro cast lots of neighborhood people in roles, and not just as extras. Eddie the Mush owned a deli on 187th Street and spent most nights drinking draft beer at the nearby Full Moon Pizza.

New Orleans = King Creole, also the B-movie horror flick Cat People has some stunning shots of the city.

Another one I just thought of is Traffic, which did a great job depicting the bizarre juxtaposition of contrasting worlds that is the San Diego/Tijuana border.

After 11 episodes of Freaks and Geeks [crossthread] I realized the show takes place in Grosse Pointe and the students are at GP North.

A ton of Detroit references but I finally realized the mascot was a Norseman, same as Grosse Pointe North. At first I thought it was a coincedence, but they also referenced some other local schools. I am proud of this pickup. Now back to episode 11.

Clint Eastwood and crew shot "Play Misty for Me," in Carmel, Calif.

Great movie that probably started the genesis of Fatal Attraction. I've heard some call 'Misty" the original FA.

Maybe I missed it, but anyone throw Rocky and Philly in here?
