Shit, I guess I'm the only person who liked Jersey Girl. But I like anything of a semi-serious nature where George Carlin turns up in a dramatic role. Same for, eh, Prince of Tides.

Carlin was good in the flick... best part of it.

I didn't hate it. Just sort of fell flat. Dialogue was flat by Smith's standard.

    Pillowpants. That was priceless.

They guy who played Elias had a pretty good take on the role.

And, just because it can't be said enough: Rosario Dawson...mmmmmmm

I will break my rule of not seeing sequels if someone tells me Berserker returned and is "making fuck".

No. Sorry. No Berserker. Not that I recall, at least.

Nope. Me, too. I thought it was a wonderfully sappy flick. I liked it alot for what it was. Now, if you went into it thinking you were going to get a Clerks-like movie, I can see where you'd be disappointed. I wasn't.

Oh, yeah. Wouldn't even need the cheese cracker.

I saw it yesterday, and while i liked it, i definitely liked the first one better. this is what the first one could have been with a proper budget, but i think thats what made the original better. it was a few actors (none of them big names) doing a black and white movie with just great, witty dialouge back and forth. its simplicity is what made the first one spectacular. the second one, i felt, was kind of gimmicky with its jokes and forced a lot of the humor.

I'm seeing it in two hours. Looking forward to it.

  9. It's definitely his best film since Chasing Amy (I know that's not saying that much, though I did love Dogma and like both Jay/Bob and Jersey Girl).
It is enough over the top that I'm surprised Kevin didn't have to fight to bring the rating down to an R. He has a long history of getting NC-17 and having to fight it.
But the movie was great and hilarious.

With the promise of extended ass-to-mouth dialogue, you know I'm there.

"It was better than Cats. I plan to see it again and again."

Unfortunately, it did not have a good opening weekend... Less than $10 million...

It only cost $5 mil to make, so it will obviously be profitable, but I thought it would do a lot better than this... Hell, I think Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back opened around $20 million...
