    I'm sure we had tons of hurricanes like this back in the 1600s. We just never recorded them.

    Riptide is one of those people who think 125 degree highs in July in Death Valley confirms global warming exists.

    Of course there's climate change. The climate has been constantly changing since the earth was formed. Why would it stop now?

    But only recently has it become known that human consumption is responsible for 99 percent of climate change. And even more recent is the development of the definitions of skepticism and denial becoming synonymous.

    I think man-caused global warming is occurring.

    And I think it's laughable to point to one hurricane in Mexico as proof.
