Antarctica was always on the bucket list. At this rate, when I go it'll be like Iceland.

Climate Change May Usher in a New Era of Trade Wars

WASHINGTON — Efforts to mitigate climate change are prompting countries across the world to embrace dramatically different policies toward industry and trade, bringing governments into conflict.

These new clashes over climate policy are straining international alliances and the global trading system, hinting at a future in which policies aimed at staving off environmental catastrophe could also result in more frequent cross-border trade wars.

In recent months, the United States and Europe have proposed or introduced subsidies, tariffs and other policies aimed at speeding the green energy transition. Proponents of the measures say governments must move aggressively to expand sources of cleaner energy and penalize the biggest emitters of planet-warming gases if they hope to avert a global climate disaster.

The explosion in the size of pickups is amazing to me. I've got a 2004 Tacoma I bought as a second vehicle (because I was tired of having to hook up a trailer if I needed to get something that wouldn't fit in my Jeep). When I park next to new Tacomas, mine is dwarfed. The husband driving the fully-loaded giant pickup (but never off-road or hauling a load) and the wife in a fully-loaded giant SUV is a stereotype that's far too accurate.

With pickups, the cabs have gotten bigger than the beds. Much bigger.

I have owned four trucks in my life: 87 Ranger, 89 Toyota, 00 Ranger, 11 Ranger. I hope my next truck purchase in the next year or two is my last.
I have gone back and forth about getting an F-150 or Tundra, but in the end, I'll likely end up with a Tacoma or Ranger.
I haul more than I tow, so that isn't an issue. I've always had extended cabs but never the double cab. Although more cab room might be nice (for stuff, not people), that extra foot or so of bed space is more useful to me.
    I wouldn't even consider something that isn't 4x4.
