We aren't ocean front, so that helps.
It also helps being an only child and having no children. I inherited everything of my parents, and I don't have anyone to leave mine to!
Seriously though, my wife and I aren't getting rich by any stretch; we just made a decision at the start what our life goals would be, and our retirement plans were it. We've busted our butts to make it happen.

Dead zone? As is no fishing!?! BASTARDS!

(Seriously though, groups like Trout Unlimited and Backcountry Hunters & Anglers are some of the most effective environmental orgs out there.)

Why the U.S. is so bad at building clean energy, in 3 charts
As Congress battles over the debt ceiling and permitting reform, here’s what’s at stake

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/clim.../permitting-reform-clean-energy-debt-ceiling/

The United States has big plans to move away from fossil fuels. By 2050, the Biden administration has promised, the country will have a carbon footprint of zero — thanks to thousands of wind and solar farms, new nuclear and geothermal power plants, electric vehicles and all-electric homes and buildings.

There’s just one problem: The United States really isn’t very good at building clean energy.

This paradox has become a central question in the anxiety-inducing race to raise the debt ceiling this month. Congressional leaders, haggling over how best to avoid default, have suggested that agreeing legislation to speed up the development of energy projects and power lines — known as “permitting reform” — could help cement a final deal. (They have very different ideas of what that legislation should include: Democrats want to focus on building interstate power lines, while Republicans want to speed up the process of building power plants, including fossil-fuel ones.)

Lemme guess how that goes ...

"Which of the following foods can you not imagine doing without?"

    A list follows ...

"You are among those who should begin re-imagining your diet NOW. But the good news is there are lots of foods you can enjoy that will save the planet. Can we interest you in some cricket nachos?"

Laughing ... "Gene Rurka, the chef and exotic foods guru who orchestrates The Explorers Club's venturesome feasts, says wine is a logical match for [eating] insects."

You're damn right it is. I'd need to down at least a bottle before tucking into some grub tartare.
