I think most households will be one EV and one hybrid households.

That’s ok. We can’t have any government regulation to prevent it. Them kids want to work. Free market and all that.

I'm going to hell for first reading this as "unsafe Conga lines."

We make the children keep mining the cobalt, but we give them conga breaks — safe ones —every four hours.

    Re: Long trips

I saw a Tesla with Oklahoma tags on it in Mobile on Saturday. It got me thinking about EV trips. Does the Tesla mapping software have charging locations marked on it?

Not until the prices come down. I bought a new car two years ago. Hybrids were still out of my range -- and that was before the spike in interest rates.

A Prius is not out of the average car buyer’s price range.

People just think they need a boat of a vehicle for no real reason.

I wasn't looking at a Prius -- and didn't want one. Like big-screen and HD TVs, the prices will eventually come down. Until they do -- and they solve the length of recharging -- it's not something on my docket. And many others.

People want big vehicles. They like them. Got a buddy who owns a mini RV - which is still huge -has a family of six, and they go camping every other weekend. They don’t need the RV; they like it. And they use it.

Or most households will have one car, and will need a good personal ESG score to get a second. A new era of carpooling cooperation will set in among citizens with kids.

People have been bamboozled into thinking monster SUVs are safer than Subarus. And a certain subset also think their man cards will be forfeit if they don’t drive a 4x4 extended cab truck - even though it will never touch dirt or haul more than golf clubs.
